The Secret Garden

<

Good morning beautiful people!

So, as I told you yesterday, I am trying to give you the scoop of the fashion shows I liked the most from this Spring Haute Couture Season.
Yesterday it was Chanel, Zuhair Murad and Versace; and today participant is. .

CHRISTIAN DIOR

The first words that come to my mind when I think of the collection is “essentially spring”. Flowers, green grass, dew, bright colors and somehow a sense of joy and happiness filled Raf Simon’s show.
The theme was clearly, sticking to the spring airs, the models emerged from the soil like flowers, in to an attractive garden courtesy of Martin Wirtz.

The show began with the girls wearing pale ballet-length dresses and organza silks.
Think yellow, rose-pink damask, black satin and tiger-lily orange pastries molded in to tulip shapes and then, turned in to dresses.

We could see the iconic Christian Dior’s 1947 jacket silhouette, fitted close to the body, paired with fine silk-petals peplums.
The famous jackets worn with black lean pants; Silky flower-covered gloves and headdresses; Blue and yellow embroidered boleros and pastel blue or pink tights were part of the show.

For the hair, the models wore Guido Palau’s gamine Jean Seberg wigs, and for the makeup Pat McGrath created pink and scarlet sparkle lips, and covered the area of the eyes and eyebrows with purple-brownish sparkling eye shadows.

Dreamy, if you ask me, made me want to read “The Secret Garden” from Frances Hodgson Burnett all over again, or maybe watch the movie with a box of macaroons for company, wanna join me? (;

What do you think? Comments below, love you!

De ensueño, si me preguntan. Me dan ganas de leer "El Jardín Secreto" de Frances Hodgson Burnett otra vez, o.. tal vez ver la película acompañada de una caja de macaroons, ¿Quién se apunta? (;

¿Qué piensan del desfile? Comenten abajo; love you!
